ACFAP Scholarship Program

Through the ACFAP Scholarship program, the ACFAP Foundation supports the education of students who have an interest in pursuing a career in information security, digital forensic, technology frauds, forensic accounting and investigations. The scholarship provides an opportunity for students to advance their education and anti-fraud career paths. Many of these outstanding and deserving students go on to become Certified Forensic Accounting Professionals.

ACFAP Scholarship Program

The ACFAP scholarship award amounts are $2500, $1000 and $500. Scholarships are awarded in U.S. dollars and include a Membership with ACFAP. Awards will be paid directly to the award recipient’s university or the educational institution.

  1. Graduates must be enrolled 6 semester hours (or equivalent) per term
  2. Be currently enrolled at an accredited, four-year college or university with enrollment through the 2015-2016 academic year
  3. Submit a Completed ACFAP Scholarship applications
  4. Provide Official Transcript(s) showing all completed college or university courses
  5. Three letters of recommendation must be submitted on behalf of the applicant

Eligibility Criteria

  • Scholarship applicants must currently be enrolled for the Certified Forensic Accounting Professional program offered by ACFAP.
  • Scholarship applicant must be graduate in accounting, business administration, finance or criminal justice and demonstrate a desire to pursue a career in Forensic Accounting, Information security, digital frauds and digital forensic .
  • The scholarship amount will be decided on merit, need and performance in interview but will not exceed $2500

Applicants must meet the following requirements in order to be eligible:

  1. Undergraduates must be enrolled 9 semester hours (or equivalent) per term
  2. Graduates must be enrolled 6 semester hours (or equivalent) per term
  3. Be currently enrolled at an accredited, four-year college or university with enrollment through the 2015-2016 academic year
  4. Submit a Completed Scholarship application form to scholarship@acfap.com.
  5. Provide Official Transcript(s) showing all completed college or university courses
  6. Three letters of recommendation must be submitted on behalf of the applicant

During the application process, the students will provide information on three recommenders. If the need be, ACFAP officials can contact them.

The following persons are not eligible to apply 

  1. Past scholarship award recipients
  2. High school students (including seniors)
  3. Junior college or community college students

2016-2017 Scholarship Schedule

Applications Open – 5th July 2016

Application Deadline – Completed online by September 5, 2016

  • All the applications received during the period would be evaluated during the year and the scholarship award winners would be announced on the ACFAP Website.
  • Scholarship award payments would be drawn in the names of the recognized professional institution or the college or the University.

Selection and Non-discrimination Policy

Scholarships are awarded annually on the basis of:

  1. Completed scholarship application forms
  2. Information security interests, activities, goals and desired career path.
  3. Overall academic achievement demonstrated by transcripts
  4. Letters of recommendation
